Who Needs Stoplights?

What I see here is difference in cultures. Some asians have a reputation as being pushy. In the video, I see cars and people going as far as they can, safely and then stopping and waiting till it is OK to proceed.

There is a pedestrian who stops between two moving cars and then proceeds as if nothing has happened. For him, nothing significant has happened.

The difference, I think, is that my culture has a much larger personal space that cannot be infringed upon without feeling like we're being 'pushed'.

I suspect that the asians who "are so pushy" don't intend to, but rather, are following their customs and going as far as they can which causes some Americans to back up allowing the asians to advance.
